Buffalo, NY – Erie County Sheriff Timothy B. Howard reports the Sheriff’s Office arrested two Delevan residents after the Narcotics Unit responded to a storage unit in Sardinia, and discovered methamphetamine smoking and manufacturing materials.

On June 11, the Narcotics Unit investigated a tip about methamphetamine activities at a storage rental unit.  Deputies and Detectives observed several items and materials commonly used for manufacturing meth.  Their investigation led them to 31-year-old Margaret Heim and 38-year-old Steven Sullivan, both of Delevan.

Sullivan, the renter of the unit and a twice-convicted felon, was arrested and charged with a felony count of unlawful manufacturing of meth, and a misdemeanor count of criminal possession of a controlled substance.  Heim is also charged with a felony count of unlawful manufacturing of meth, and a misdemeanor count of criminal possession of a controlled substance.

Both defendants are held at the Erie County Holding Center pending their arraignment.

The Buffalo Office of the Drug Enforcement Agency assisted with the investigation, and the New York State Police’s Contaminated Crime Scene Emergency Response Team safely removed all the hazardous materials from the storage unit.
