Alden Male Charged with Felony DWI and Unlicensed Operation

 

Buffalo, NY – Erie County Sheriff Timothy B. Howard reports Scott Meyer, 23, of Alden, was arrested after he was apprehended by Sergeant Lehning when he fled from a traffic stop Friday morning.

 

Meyer was stopped by Deputies Lundberg and Klemp after observing vehicle and traffic violations on Main Street in the Town of Clarence near Harris Hill Road around 2:50 A.M.  During the traffic stop, Meyer fled from the Deputies and additional units were dispatched to the scene; a foot pursuit commenced.

 

Meyer was apprehended by Sergeant Lehning around 3:35 A.M. and the subject was taken into custody. 

 

The defendant is charged with felony DWI – prior conviction and a felony count of aggravated unlicensed operation – his driver’s license was revoked as part of a probation agreement.   He is also charged with misdemeanor counts of resisting arrest, obstructing government administration, and circumventing an interlock device.

 

Deputies transported Meyer to the Erie County Holding Center where is he being held pending his arraignment.
