Victim Accidentally Shot with Handgun Dies at ECMC

 

Buffalo, NY – Erie County Sheriff Timothy B. Howard announces that Deputies arrested Jake Klocek, 19, of East Aurora after an accidental shooting incident at a Dorris Drive residence on November 6.

 

Deputies were dispatched to the Elma dwelling around 8:40 P.M. for reports of a 19-year-old victim shot in the abdomen.  The victim, an associate of Klocek, was transported to Erie County Medical Center where he died from his wounds.

 

Klocek was charged with felony counts of second-degree manslaughter and second-degree criminal possession of a weapon.  Klocek is being held at the Erie County Holding Center pending his arraignment in Elma Town Court on November 7.

 

The Sheriff’s Office continues to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident.
