Young Female Victim Struck by School Bus

 Buffalo, NY – Erie County Sheriff Timothy B. Howard reports his office is investigating the circumstances of a fatal accident on West Main Street near North Buffalo Street in the Village of Springville.

Multiple units were dispatched Friday, November 4, at 3:38 P.M. after receiving several reports of a school bus that struck a 7-year-old female after she exited the bus.

First aid was administered at the scene and the victim was transported to Bertrand Chafee Hospital where she later died.

The incident remains under investigation by the Sheriff’s Crash Investigation Unit and Detectives.
