Families can get Child IDs, Car Seats Checked, Meet Special Unit Members 

Buffalo, NY – Erie County Sheriff Timothy B. Howard and the Town of Boston announce an Open House on Saturday, September 16, 2017; from 11:00 A.M. to 2:00 P.M.  Also, Sheriff Howard, along with town and county representatives, will announce the placement of a drug drop-off box and a sharps box for Boston Town Hall.   

People can meet the Sheriff’s Mounted Reserve Unit, view the Sheriff’s new tactical vehicle and meet members of the SWAT Team, and get an up close look at Air-1.  Deputies will also present to perform car seat checks and produce Child ID cards. 

The Sheriff’s Office, working in conjunction with the Erie County Department of Health and the Town of Boston, will add a prescription drug kiosk and a needle kiosk to the growing list of boxes throughout Erie County.  These new boxes increase the total number of Sheriff’s locations open to the public to twenty-four.  

The Sheriff and other representatives will host members of the media at 11:15 A.M. behind the town hall located at 8500 Boston State Rd, Boston, NY 14025 to unveil and discuss the box placements.
