Southtowns Burglary Suspect Charged With a Dozen Felonies

Bugenhagen

Buffalo, NY – Erie County Sheriff Timothy B. Howard reports Detectives have arrested a suspect in connection with a rash of residential burglaries over the past three weeks in the towns of Boston and North Collins.

 

Detectives assigned to the multiple cases and working with the Eden Police Department developed information from a vehicle observed at an Eden incident which resulted in the identification of a suspect.  On August 12, Daniel Bugenhagen, 36, of Hamburg was arrested by Erie County Sheriff’s Detectives in the City of Buffalo and was charged with:

 

5 counts of felony burglary

4 counts of felony grand larceny

1 count of felony attempted burglary

1 count of felony criminal mischief

1 count of felony criminal possession of stolen property

1 count of misdemeanor petit larceny

 

Bugenhagen is remanded to the Erie County Holding Center in lieu of $7,500.00 bail.

 

Sheriff’s Detectives utilized the newly created Sheriff’s Pawn Shop Database to locate and identify some of the stolen items from the burglaries.
