TIP LEADS TO A WEAPONS ARREST IN BUFFALO

ECSO and BPD Discover Loaded Gun during Traffic Stop

 

Buffalo, NY – Erie County Sheriff John C. Garcia reports the arrest of 22-year-old Raquan Pulliam of Buffalo on weapon charges.

 

After receiving an anonymous tip about an illegally possessed gun, the Sheriff’s Narcotics and Intelligence Unit initiated an investigation. On January 20, at approximately 1:00 p.m., Deputies and Detectives assigned to the Gun Involved Violence Elimination Grant task force and Buffalo Police Officers performed a traffic stop on Decker Street in Buffalo.

 

During the investigation, Law enforcement officers discovered a loaded 9mm handgun in Pulliam’s waistband. 

 

Pulliam was arrested and charged with a felony count of 2nd-degree criminal possession of a loaded firearm and a traffic violation.

 

The defendant was remanded without bail to the custody of the Erie County Sheriff’s Office following a court appearance today in front of Judge Peter Savage.

 

Buffalo Police Department’s Intelligence Unit and E District patrol officers assisted with the investigation.
