Fugitive Tried Hiding Identity by Giving a False Name

Buffalo, NY – Erie County Sheriff Timothy B. Howard reports that on October 18 at approximately 10:50 P.M., Deputy Francis stopped a vehicle on Interstate 190 near Bedell Road for a traffic violation.

While investigating the driver and passenger, the passenger identified herself as Tiffany Collins; however the Deputy determined that her true identity is Tiffany Hardeman, 22, of Niagara Falls.  Further investigation revealed that Hardeman had an active bench warrant from Niagara County for aggravated DWI.

Hardeman was arrested and charged with obstruction of governmental administration and false personation, both misdemeanors.  The defendant was later turned over to the Niagara County Sheriff’s Office.
