Buffalo, NY – Erie County Sheriff Timothy B. Howard reports the Orchard Park Police Department and the Erie County Sheriff’s Office teamed up to stop a vehicle traveling northbound in the southbound lane of Route 219 early Monday morning.

Deputy Achtyl responded to reports of a vehicle traveling the wrong way on the expressway.  Orchard Park officer Honer also responded and intercepted the vehicle between the Rice Road and Boston exits in the Town of Boston.

The driver, Raymond Hangen, 47, of Hamburg was administered field sobriety tests by Deputy Achtyl which he failed.  Hagen was transported to the Springville Substation where his Blood Alcohol Content (BAC) was more than twice the legal limit.
