Vehicle in Wrong Driveway Results in DWI Charge

Buffalo, NY – Erie County Sheriff Timothy B. Howard reports Deputies Avery and Lincoln responded to a call from a resident on Zoeller Road in the Town of Alden about a suspicious vehicle parked in their driveway.

The resident called the Sheriff’s Office around 10:45 Sunday night about an unknown vehicle parked in the driveway.  The resident yelled at the driver to leave but the driver flashed the headlights and did not leave.

Deputies arrived and determined the operator, Matthew Murray – 27 of Cheektowaga, was intoxicated and subsequently was charged with DWI and aggravated DWI - .18 BAC or higher.  The defendant was released into the custody of a relative and will have a future court date in Alden Town Court.
