Victim Identified In Early Morning Fall

Buffalo, NY – Erie County Sheriff Timothy B. Howard sadly reports the victim in the May 1 fall into the Cattaraugus Creek ravine has been identified as 19-year-old Rikki George; she was a resident of the Seneca Nation of Indians reservation.

 

The Erie County Sheriff’s Office received a call on May 1, at 4:37 a.m. about an individual who fell into the ravine.  New York State Police, Seneca Nation of Indians Marshals, and Deputies arrived in the area of Bush Road and began searching the ravine.    Deputy Barner and SNI Marshal Serio located the victim and began administrating CPR in an attempt to resuscitate Ms. George however their attempts were not successful.

 

The circumstances surrounding this incident remain under investigation.
