Anonymous Tip Provides Deputies the Location of Subject

Buffalo, NY – Erie County Sheriff Timothy B. Howard reports that a Warrant Wednesday subject was arrested in North Collins on Wednesday at around 10 P.M.

After receiving an anonymous tip about the location of a wanted subject, Deputies Barbaritz and Christian arrested Daisy Cumpston on an outstanding bench warrant signed by Judge Steven from the Town of Collins.

This is the first arrest stemming from the sheriff’s Warrant Wednesday list and the anonymous tip came the same day as a social media post.

Sheriff Timothy B. Howard graciously stated, “I want to thank everyone in our community who has taken the time to look at our Warrant Wednesday posting and especially the individual who called with this vital and timely information.  Our hope is that the Warrant Wednesday program continues to grow and can help locate and bring more subjects to justice.”

The Erie County Sheriff’s Office Warrant Wednesday program was initiated this past May; each Wednesday updates are made to the list of individuals with outstanding sheriff’s office warrants and posted on the Sheriff’s Office website and social media accounts.
