Heroin, Crack and Suspended Driver Discovered During Stops

 

Buffalo, NY – Erie County Sheriff Timothy B. Howard reports Deputies arrested four individuals on narcotics charges following traffic stops over the weekend.

 

January 28, 7:37 P.M., Grand Island – Deputy Day stopped a vehicle on Whitehaven Road for vehicle and traffic violations.  During the Deputy’s investigation, he discovered a hypodermic needle and heroin on a passenger. 

 

Michael Doyle, 35, of Youngstown was arrested and charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance and possession of a hypodermic instrument.  The defendant was released on an appearance ticket.

 

January 29, 10:00 P.M., Grand Island – Deputy Day stopped a vehicle on Stony Point Road after he observed multiple vehicle and traffic violations.  The Deputy’s investigation discovered the operator’s license has four active suspensions and she was taken into custody.  The subsequent search of the vehicle discovered three envelopes of heroin and a hypodermic needle.  Amzi Ethridge, 23, of Hunter NY was arrested and charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance, possession of a hypodermic instrument, aggravated unlicensed operation, and multiple vehicle and traffic law infractions.

 

Etheridge was transported to the Erie County Holding Center pending her arraignment on January 30.

 

January 29, 11:27 P.M., Holland – Deputy Bauer stopped a vehicle on Olean Road for a vehicle law infraction.  The Deputy’s investigation discovered the driver, Steffan Sisson, 26, of Shinglehouse Pennsylvania, was in possession of crack cocaine and heroin and the passenger, Caitlyn Stein, 26, of Genesee NY possessed a quantity of crack cocaine.  Sisson is charged with three counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance and Stein was charged with one count of criminal possession of a controlled substance and later released.  Sisson is at the Erie County Holding Center pending his arraignment on January 30
