Report of Shots Fired at Howdy's in Clarence

Erie County Sheriff Timothy B. Howard reports an incident in the Town of Clarence where calls came in of shots fired in the parking lot of Howdy’s Nightclub on Main Street shortly before 4:00am Saturday morning.

Responding to a call of a shots fired in the parking lot Deputies Simon Biegasiewicz and Matt Krypel quickly got a vehicle description of the alleged shooters and disseminated that description to all police agencies throughout the county.  Almost immediately the Amherst, Cheektowaga and Lancaster Police Departments encountered people who stated they quickly left when shots were fired in the parking lot after the rap music event that took place at Howdy’s that night.

Multiple Sheriff’s Patrol units and detectives, as well as Crime Scene personnel, responded to investigate the incident.  The shooting is still under investigation and the Sheriff’s Office asks that anyone with information call our Crime Stoppers Tip Line at 867-6161 or visit the Erie County Sheriff’s website and send a confidential email.
