Sheriff Tim Howard acts as MC at Statue's Unveiling

August 21, 2013 - Lancaster, NY -  Sheriff Tim Howard was master of ceremonies today as Russ Salvatore unveiled his new 17 ft. tall statue of St. Michael the Archangel, the patron saint of police officers, in his Heroes and Patriots Park in Lancaster. The Erie County Sheriff's Office along with representatives from area police agencies including Lancaster, Cheektowaga, Amherst, Buffalo, West Seneca, the New York State Troopers, and other departments were on hand today for the unveiling. Salvatore wanted to honor all the men and women who work in law enforcement, especially those who died in the line of duty with a monument befitting their courage, honor and sacrifice.
