October 11, 2013 - Amherst, NY -  Sheriff Tim Howard inspects one of the 33 pounds of marijuana that was confiscated in Amherst by Erie County Sheriff's Narcotics Detectives. A 40 year old Brooklyn man was arrested and charged, but not before trying to run from police. The suspect, a Viet Nam native, has been in the US for approximately 20 years as a temporary visitor; he was paroled in 2007 following his 15 year sentence of an armed home invasion in Queens in 1992. The street value of the marijuana is estimated at more than $150,000.00.
