South Wales Woman Arrested for DWI

Erie County Sheriff Timothy B Howard reports the evening arrest of a South Wales woman for DWI after she almost struck an unmarked Erie County Sheriff's vehicle which was parked on the side of the road.

Erie County Sheriff's Detective Brian O'Hara was parked off the road on the shoulder on Four Rod Rd. at Clinton St. in the Town of Marilla continuing an investigation, when a vehicle driven by 29 year old Callie Clothier of Goodleberg Rd. in South Wales crossed over onto the shoulder and almost struck the Detective's vehicle.

Detective O'Hara was able to stop the vehicle a short distance down the street with the assistance of Deputies George Avery and Scott Kuhlmey who were also in the area.

Further interview and field sobriety tests found Clothier to be intoxicated and she was subsequently arrested and charged with DWI.
