Erie County Sheriff Timothy B. Howard reports the arrest of three local residents for Driving While Intoxicated by Sheriff’s Road Patrols on Wednesday night.
While on patrol in North Collins at approximately 12:30AM, Deputy Theresa Nietzel arrested Melissa M. Gould (47) of Gowanda and charged her with Felony DWI (prior conviction within last ten years for DWI), Felony Leandra’s Law DWI (11 year old child in vehicle), Endangering the Welfare of a Child, and traffic infractions after investigating the complaint of a drunk driver traveling southbound on Rt. 62 from Eden into North Collins. A breath test revealed her blood alcohol content to be .12%. She was processed and released on appearance tickets for North Collins Court.
While on patrol in Clarence at approximately 12:44AM, Deputy Simon Biegasiewicz arrested Cara L. Mielcarek (25) of Buffalo and charged her with DWI and traffic infractions after stopping her vehicle for running a stop sign on Village Station in Clarence. A breath test revealed her blood alcohol content to be .09%. She was processed and released on appearance tickets for Clarence Court.
While on patrol in Boston at approximately 1:43AM, Deputy Don Hoelscher arrested Michael G. Sage (22) of Hamburg and charged him with DWI and traffic infractions after stopping his vehicle for Speeding and erratic operation on Boston State Road while investigating a citizen complaint of erratic driving. A breath test revealed his blood alcohol content to be .17%, over twice the legal limit. He was processed and released on appearance tickets for Boston Court.
These arrests marked the 157th, 158th and 159th arrests for DWI made by Sheriff’s Road Patrols in 2013.
