August 12, 2013- Sheriff Tim Howard reports the arrest of a Town of Tonawanda woman for DWI. This is the 208th DWI arrest by the Erie County Sheriff's Office in 2013.
Deputy John Szcepanski with the assistance of Deputy Matthew Fuqua located a vehicle driven by a Town of Tonawanda woman, 56 year old Mary Sedia, afer receiving a report that this subject had taken a tacklebox not belonging to her. Upon conducting a traffic stop, deputies determined that Ms. Sedia was intoxicated and took her into custody.
Ms. Sedia refused to submit to a chemical breath test at this time. She was charged with felony DWI due to a prior conviction of DWI in January, 2005 and several other criminal charges. She was taken to the Erie County Holding Center on $500.00 bail and will be arraigned at a future date in the Town of Clarence Court.
