Town of Concord Crash sends 3 to Hospital

Erie County Sheriff Timothy B. Howard reports a two car personal injury automobile crash on Route 39, in the Town of Concord, that sent three people to area hospitals for treatment of their injuries.

At approximately 7:59 PM a 2008 Dodge van, operated by 34 year old John Sunick III of  South Dayton NY, was traveling west on Route 39 when it rear-ended a 2000 Chevrolet Blazer which was also traveling west on Route 39.  Sunick was transported to Bertrand Chaffee Hospital in Springville for treatment of a hand injury.

The Chevrolet Blazer was operated by 41 year old David Richter of Perrysburg, NY.  Richter was taken by Mercy Flight to ECMC for treatment and is listed in stable condition.  A passenger in the vehicle, 39 year old Tanya Richter of Perrysburg, was taken to Bertrand Chaffee Hospital in Springville for treatment.

The crash remains under investigation by the Erie County Sheriff's Office Crash Investigation Unit and charges are pending.
