Town of Freedom Man Arrested in Sardinia for DWI

Erie County Sheriff Timothy B. Howard reports the early morning arrest of a Town of Freedom man for DWI following a traffic stop on Olean Rd. in the Town of Sardinia.

While on patrol early Tuesday morning, Erie County Sheriff's Deputy Brad Ballantyne stopped a vehicle on Olean Rd. in the Town of Sardinia for a traffic violation. Upon further investigation and field sobriety testing, the driver, 28 year old Dustin E. Bliss of Freedom, was found to be intoxicated. Bliss submitted to a chemical breath test which showed a reading of .13% BAC. He was charged with DWI and various other traffic violations, and his vehicle was towed from the scene and put on a DWI hold.

Bliss was later released to a third party with appearance tickets, returnable to the Town of Sardinia Court at a later date.

This was the 37th DWI arrest by the Erie County Sheriff's Office this year.
