July 29, 2012- Sheriff Tim Howard is announcing the arrest of a Town of Tonawanda man on multiple charges related to a "Road Rage" incident that occurred on Rt. 400 in the Town of Elma (construction area).

 While on patrol in District 3, Deputy Aaron Naegely and Deputy Dennis Orlowski of the Erie County Sheriff's Elma Sub-Station responded to a 9-11 complaint of a "Road Rage" incident on Rt. 400 in the Town of Elma.  Assisted by members of the West Seneca Police Department, the suspect vehicle was stopped on Rt. 400.  Deputy Naegely's and Deputy Orlowski's investigation revealed that the suspect for reasons unknown displayed and pointed what appeared to be a pistol at the complainant's vehicle and that the suspect also threw pennies at her vehicle causing windshield and paint damage.  The complainant had her 2 children (age 2 and 11 months) with her as well.  Deputies charged Derrick C. Fix, age 45 of the Town of Tonawanda with PL 265.01-01 Criminal Possession Of A Weapon 4th, PL 120.14 Menacing, PL 260.10-01 Endangering The Welfare Of A Child, PL 145.00-01 Criminal Mischief 4th, and VTL 1212 Reckless Driving.

 Fix was arraigned in the Town of Elma Court by Judge Robert J Pierce, who placed $5000 bail on Fix and remanded him to the Erie County Holding Center.
