SUBJECT:   Two Separate Traffic Related Arrests

February 16 & 17th - Erie County - Erie County Sheriff Timothy B. Howard reports the arrest of two local subjects in separate traffic stops by Erie County Sheriff’s Road Patrols on Thursday night.

While on patrol on Rt. 16 in Holland, Deputy Ben Pisa stopped a vehicle driven by Fred Keys (48) of Buffalo for driving with one headlight and illegally tinted windows.  A license check of Keys revealed that he had 18 current suspensions and revocations on his New York license.  While processing the traffic arrest, Deputy Pisa also discovered that Keys had crack cocaine in his possession.  Keys was subsequently charged with Aggravated Unlicensed Operation 2nd, and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 5th (D Felony), along with the original traffic infractions.  He was transported to the Erie County Holding Center to await arraignment on his charges in Holland Court.

While on patrol on Transit Road in Lancaster, Deputy Simon Biegasiewicz arrested David S. Petruzzi (27) of Kenmore and charged him with DWI and traffic infractions after stopping his vehicle for erratic operation.  A breath test revealed his blood alcohol content to be .14%.  He was processed at the Clarence Substation and released on appearance tickets for Lancaster Court.
