Two Arrested for Traffic Offenses

Erie County Sheriff Timothy B Howard reports that Road Patrol Deputies arrested 2 drivers for traffic offenses early Friday morning.

At approximately 1:20 AM Deputy Timothy Coulombe was on patrol on Sheridan Drive in the Town of Clarence when a vehicle passed him in excess of 100 MPH.  Deputy Coulombe was able to catch the vehicle and found David S. Majetic (25) driving the car.  Majetic was charged with reckless driving, imprudent speed and speeding.  Majetic was ticketed and released at the scene.

In a second incident, at approximately 01:40 am while  Patrolling the RT. 219 expressway in the Town of Concord, Deputy Ben Pisa stopped a vehicle being driven by Robert Schosek (33) for speeding and failing to maintain his lane of traffic.  Further investigation at the scene led Deputy Pisa to arrest Schosek for Driving While Intoxicated.  Schosek refused to submit to a chemical test and was processed at the Sheriff’s Office Springville Substation prior to being released.

This was the 125h DWI arrest this year by Erie County Sheriffs Office road patrols.
