Sheriff Timothy B. Howard reports the arrests of two Bradford PA women on narcotics and marijuana charges following a traffic stop on Rt. 219 in the Town of Concord Friday evening.
Erie County Sheriff's Deputy Brad Ballantyne stopped a vehicle on Rt. 219 south of Genesee Rd. in the Town of Concord for going 90mph in a 65mph zone. With assistance from Deputies Nick Coniglio and Justin Bauer, the driver, 32 year old Amber L. Bunce, and passenger 19 year old Karlie A. Ryan, both of Bradford PA, were interviewed and found to be in possession of more than 8 oz of marijuana and various narcotic pills. They were also found to be in possession of $15,000 cash, a couple of scales used for weighing marijuana and narcotics, and a large number of glassine envelopes used for the packaging of narcotics.
Both were arrested and charged with Criminal Possession of Marijuana in the 3rd degree (an E Felony) and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 3rd degree (a B Felony). Bunce was additionally charged with Criminal Possession of Drug Paraphernalia in the 2nd degree and traffic infractions.
The cash and vehicle were seized for further investigation and both subjects were taken to the Erie County Holding Center and held for arraignment in the Town of Concord Court.
