April 11, 2012- April 12, 20120 Erie County Sheriff Timothy B. Howard reports two DWI arrests by Sheriff’s Road Patrols on Wednesday night during Alcohol Awareness Month.
While on patrol in Brant at approximately 10:40PM, Deputy Eric Szkatulski stopped a car driven by Christopher Lone (30) of Farnham for not dimming his high beam lights on Southwestern Blvd. After conducting Field Sobriety Testing, the Deputy arrested Lone and charged him with DWI, Felony Aggravated Unlicensed Operation (Revoked license for prior DWI arrest) and traffic infractions. A breath test revealed his blood alcohol content to be .14%. He was processed at the North Collins Substation and released on appearance tickets.
While on patrol on Grand Island, Deputies Jason Clark and Brad Girdler responded to a property damage auto accident on Love Road near Schwegler Road. After investigating the crash, the Deputies arrested one of the drivers: Peter W. Kuehne (27) of Grand Island and charged him with DWI and traffic infractions. Kuehne refused to submit to a breath test to determine his blood alcohol content. He was processed at the Grand Island Substation and released on appearance tickets.
