May 6, 2012- Erie County Sheriff Timothy B. Howard reports the arrest of two local residents for Driving While Intoxicated by Sheriff’s Road Patrols early Sunday morning.
While on patrol in Clarence at approximately 3:37AM, Deputy Simon Biegasiewicz arrested Erica L. Stachura (21) of Williamsville and charged her with DWI and traffic infractions after stopping her vehicle for erratic operation on Transit near Roll Road. A breath test revealed her blood alcohol content to be .10%. She was processed at the Clarence Substation and released on appearance tickets.
While returning to the southern part of the county after dropping a prisoner off at the Holding Center from an unrelated arrest at approximately 4:32AM, Deputy Ben Pisa stopped a vehicle driven by Alton V. Cooley (37) of Buffalo on Interstate 90 near William Street for erratic operation. Pisa subsequently arrested Cooley and charged him with DWI and traffic infractions. A breath test revealed his blood alcohol content to be .10%. He was processed at Elma Substation and released on appearance tickets for our charges in Cheektowaga Town Court. He was however, transported to the Holding Center as he was wanted by Buffalo Police for an outstanding arrest warrant.
