November 30, 2012- Towns of Wales and Elma- Erie County Sheriff Timothy B. Howard reports the arrests of two motorists for Driving While Intoxicated by Sheriff’s Road Patrols on Friday night.
While on patrol in Wales at approximately 9:20PM, Deputy Rich O’Neil arrested Jason R. Kenyon (31) of Orlando, Florida and charged him with DWI and traffic infractions after investigating a one car property damage car crash on Rt. 16 near Emery Road. A breath test revealed his blood alcohol content to be .15%, almost twice the legal limit. He was processed at the Elma Station and released on appearance tickets.
While on patrol in Elma later in his shift, Deputy O’Neil arrested Kevin D. McClintic (23) of Lancaster and charged him with Felony DWI and traffic infractions after stopping his vehicle at approximately 4:27AM on Clinton Street for erratic operation. A breath test revealed his blood alcohol content to be .13%. The Felony charge was filed due to McClintic having a prior conviction for DWI from 2009. He was processed at the Elma Station and released on appearance tickets.
