April 16, 2013- Erie County Sheriff Timothy B. Howard reports the arrest of two local residents for Felony DWI in separate incidents on Tuesday night.
While on patrol on Rt. 16 in the Town of Sardinia at approximately 10:49PM, Deputy Ben Pisa arrested Jeffrey J. Bieler (45) of Concord and charged him with Felony DWI and traffic infractions after stopping his vehicle for Speeding. He was charged with a Felony due to a prior conviction for DWI from 2005. He refused to submit to a breath test to determine his blood alcohol content. He was processed at the Springville Station and released on appearance tickets.
While on patrol in Buffalo at approximately 9:21PM, Deputy Simon Biegasiewicz arrested Robert Johnson (57) of Buffalo and charged him with Felony Aggravated DWI after stopping his vehicle for driving on the shoulder of East Delevan Ave. The Felony charge was filed due to him driving with a child less than 16 years old in the vehicle. A breath test revealed his blood alcohol content to be .22%. He was processed at the Grand Island Station and released on appearance tickets.
These arrest marked the 95th and 96th DWI arrests by Sheriff’s Road Patrols in 2013.
