March 22, 2012 - Town of Wales, Clarence - Erie County Sheriff Tim Howard reports that sheriff's deputies made two felony DWI arrests overnight.
In the first incident, Deputies Okal and Harris made a traffic stop on Big Tree Road in the Town of Wales after observing a vehicle operated by 26 year old Alizabeth Dreyer, fail to stay within the lane. The operator of the vehicle was found to be intoxicated. Ms. Dreyer was arrested for felony DWI after discovering she had been previously convicted of DWI in June, 2008. Ms. Dreyer refused to submit to a chemical breath test. She was arraigned in the Town of Wales Court and released upon her own recognizance.
The second incident happened on Wehrle Drive in the Town of Clarence. Deputy Gene Nati stopped a vehicle, operated by 35 year old Melisa Nunez after the operator failed to drive on the right side of the road. Nunez was arrested for DWI and taken to the Erie County Sheriff's Clarence substation. Ms. Nunez submitted to a chemical breath test and was found to have a BAC of .15%. It was discovered that she had previously been convicted of DWI in March 2010, therefore she was charged with a felony as well. Nunez was taken to the Erie COunty Holding Center pending arraignment in the Town of Clarence Court.
