TWO OVER NIGHT DWI'S IN CLARENCE


November 21, 22, 2013-  Sheriff Tim Howard announces the arrests of an Amherst man and a Clarence woman for DWI in the Town of Clarence overnight.  These are the 269th and 270th DWI arrests by the Erie Co. Sheriff's Office in 2013.

 In the first incident, Deputy Simon Begasiewicz stopped a vehicle driven by 68 yr old Norbert Koller for driving on the wrong side of Transit Rd.  Further investigation showed that Koller was intoxicated.  Koller was arrested for DWI and  breath test revealed that his blood alcohol content was .16%.  He was released on appearance tickets returnable to the Town of Clarence Court at a future date.

 In the second  incident, Deputy Simon Begasiewicz stopped a vehicle driven by 56 yr old Peggy Schulz for driving on the shoulder of Salt Rd.  Further investigation found that Schulz was intoxicated.  She was arrested for DWI and a breath test revealed that her blood alcohol content was .21% which resulted in her charge being upgraded to aggravated DWI.  She was released on an appearance ticket returnable to the Town of Clarence Court at a future date
