VEHICLE ROLL OVER/DWI TOWN OF SARDINIA


SUBJECT:  Vehicle Rollover/DWI

LOCATION:  Town of Sardinia                               

      December 14, 2011- Town of Sardinia-  Erie County Sheriff Timothy B. Howard reports that Sgt. Daniel Dytchkowskyj from the Sheriff’s Accident Investigation Unit arrested Melissa M. Buck of the Village of Springville, NY, for Driving While Intoxicated

 Sheriff patrol deputies responded to the scene of vehicle rollover crash on Rt. 39, near Pratham Road, in the Town of Sardinia and found the driver, 24 year old Melissa Buck had been ejected from her vehicle.

 Initial investigation findings indicate that Buck lost control of her vehicle, while passing a vehicle in front of her, striking a guard rail, on the opposite side of the road, causing her vehicle to roll over. 

Chaffee – Sardinia Firefighters also responded to the scene, along with Rural Metro ambulance to provide medical treatment to Buck.

Buck was transported to Erie County Medical Center, by Rural Metro ambulance, and is listed in stable condition.

 Buck was additionally charged with reckless driving, a misdemeanor, driving too fast for conditions, failure to keep right, and failure to wear a seat belt.

 Buck is scheduled for arraignment, in Town of Sardinia court December 27, 2011, at 7:00 pm.
