VILLAGE OF AKRON MAN ARRESTED IN CLARENCE FOR DWI


Erie County Sheriff Tim Howard is announcing the arrest of a Village of Akron man for driving while intoxicated. This is the Erie County Sheriff's Office 88th DWI arrest for 2013.

Deputy Simon Biegasiewicz responded to a complaint of a suspicious vehicle on Hunts Corners Rd. in the Town of Clarence.  Upon arrival, patrol's investigation determined that the driver, 48 yr. old Richard Vecchio, was intoxicated.  Mr. Vecchio  was taken into custody and transported to the Erie County Sheriff's Clarence substation where he refused to submit to a chemical breath test.  Mr. Vecchio was charged w/ driving while intoxicated and released on uniform traffic tickets returnable to the Town of Clarence Court at a future date.
