WALES MAN ARRESTED ON MULTIPLE PENAL LAW CHARGES


April 25, 2013- Erie County Sheriff Tim Howard is announcing the arrest of a Wales resident on multiple penal law charges.

 Erie County Sheriff's Deputies from Districts 3 and 4 responded to a complaint of a man breaking into a resident's shed in the yard behind the home.  Deputy David Barbaritiz, Deputy David Makowski, Detective Chris Parisi and Detective John Graham arrived on the scene and the suspect immediately fled into the woods.  As more Sheriff's units arrived, Deputies commenced a search for the suspect that started in the Town of Wales and wound up in the Town of Holland.  The suspect committed a wave of car thefts and attempted car thefts in an attempt to evade Sheriff's Deputies.  Air One and K9 were called in to assist.  The suspect was eventually captured by Detective Greg McCarthy, Sergeant Joe Belden and Captain Greg Savage.  The suspect had stolen credit cards and other property in his possession at the time of his arrest.  Deputy Tom Meredith, Deputy Dan Zlotek, Deputy Mike Hoock and Deputy Jim Flowers also assisted.

 Sheriff's Deputies charged the suspect, Jordan Y Corp, age 26 of Wales with numerous Penal Law Grand Larcenies and Burglary charges in the Town of Wales and the Town of Holland.  Deputies suspect Mr. Corp is responsible for multiple car larcenies as well in both towns.  Mr. Corp has been remanded to the Erie County Holding Center pending arraignment in the Town of Wales Court and the Town of Holland Court.
