Erie County Sheriff Timothy B. Howard today announces the successful completion of a warrant sweep that was conducted on Wednesday, June 19th, 2013. The Erie County Sheriff’s Warrant Enforcement Unit participated in the sweep and searched all over the City of Buffalo and Erie County for individuals wanted on active warrants. The Sheriff’s Office has focused their attention on warrant sweeps as an important tool to combat crime and take criminals off the street.
The New York State Division of Criminal Justice Services provided the funding for this warrant sweep through the Operation IMPACT Partnership. “I would like to thank them for the opportunity to assist them with this initiative and look forward to continuing our relationship in the future”, Sheriff Howard stated.
Arrested in the sweep were 4 City of Buffalo residents: 37 year old Milisa Buss, 47 year old Clifford Porter, 21 year old Michael Campbell, and 51 year old Clarence Cook. The intelligence gathered during the sweep also led to the arrest of 38 year old Kenneth Shoemaker II and deputies are confident that there will be more arrests forthcoming in the following days and weeks.
