ONE WOMAN ARRESTED AT MASSAGE PARLOR IN CLARENCE
Erie County Sheriff Tim Howard is announcing a six week long investigation into the operation of a massage parlor in Clarence was capped off today with the arrest of a 53 year old woman on charges of prostitution- (B) misdemeanor; two counts of forcible touching (A) misdemeanor and an E felony under the New York State Education law for unlicensed massage therapy which is a medical procedure.
Yuxia Shi, a Chinese national, was taken into custody at about 2:00 pm this afternoon without incident after two undercover officers from the Erie County Sheriff’s Office entered the Green Spa massage parlor on Main Street in Clarence. When a verbal agreement was reached to perform a sex act for money, undercover police officers moved in to make the arrest.
More than $ 5,300.00 was found hidden throughout the building which was located in a strip plaza (in the 10,000 block of Main Street). The investigation began after the Erie County Sheriff’s Office received numerous complaints from area businesses.
The raid and subsequent search of the massage parlor was conducted under a search warrant issued by Clarence Town Justice Robert Sillars.
Assisting in the investigation were Detectives Scott Piel; Brian O’Hara, Christian Parisi; Emily Nelson; Steve Meerboth; Shaun Hediger; Patrick McMahon, and Sr. Detective Jim Hatch. Deputy Adam Imiolo also assisted in the case.
