Poverty Summit upcoming in Erie County...Let's make a change!

The Erie County Poverty Committee, along with the Erie County Department of Social Services and Erie County Executive Mark Poloncarz, is sponsoring the first-ever Poverty Summit in Erie County, taking place Thursday, August 24, 2017 from 8:15 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the Buffalo Niagara Convention Center. Breakfast and lunch will be provided as part of the event.

 

 

The Erie County Poverty Committee, also known as the Erie County Welfare Advisory Committee, is comprised of Dr. Henry Taylor, Anna Falicov, Rev. Kinzer Pointer, Dr. Myron Glick, Rev. Frank Cerny, Dr. Yvonne S. Minor-Ragan and Marlies A. Wesolowski. The purpose of the event is to engage those from the local community and discuss ways of further addressing the issue of poverty in Erie County.
