Foreclosure
- Only covers mortgage arrears or tax arrears
- Homeowners may apply for assistance to stop foreclosure or to complete emergency property repairs.
- Homeowners may have to sign a lien against their property to receive assistance
- Homeowners must provide written documentation from mortgage company or tax office. All amounts must be clearly broken down. Homeowners must also prove that other property-related bills such as water bills, tax bills, etc., are up to date.
- We cannot assist with user fees or sewer assessments.
- We do not pay late fees, court costs, or attorney fees.
- Clients must be able to demonstrate the ability to afford their mortgage going forward in order to receive assistance.
Eviction
- We do not pay late fees, court costs, or attorney fees.
- Clients must be able to demonstrate the ability to afford their rent going forward in order to receive assistance.
- Eviction does not have to be court-ordered. We will consider eviction notices issued by the landlord that:
- Are in writing
- Include your name and address
- List all months and rent balances owed per month
- Is signed by the landlord
- Includes the landlord's name and number
