Erie County Legislator Frank Todaro has partnered with several elementary schools for his Valentines for Veterans program. Legislator Todaro personally delivered hundreds of homemade Valentine’s Day cards to service members at the Air Reserve Station in Niagara Falls and several veterans’ posts throughout Erie County.

Legislator Todaro said, “This is a great way to teach young kids about the importance of our military and how a simple ‘thank you’ can go a long way. I am so honored to have the chance to be part of this program; I wish I had the chance to thank each and everyone individually; their hard work, sacrifice and dedication does not go unnoticed. So, from the bottom of my heart, thank you to everyone who spends their lives keeping others safe. God bless and Happy Valentine’s Day!”

Participating elementary schools in District 8 include:

  • Cayuga Heights Elementary School

  • Hillview Elementary School

  • John A. Sciole Elementary School

  • Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament School

  • St. John the Baptist School

  • St. Mary’s Elementary School
