Erie County Legislator Frank Todaro

Erie County Legislator Frank Todaro recently honored four Cheektowaga Police Officers for their heroic actions. Officers William Cookfair, Brendan Tomasulo, Joshua Donovan and Jeffrey Scaglione responded to a call on Preston Road where a fire was in a lower unit and people were trapped on the second story. With quick thinking, the police officers moved a police cruiser into the driveway and up near the house and successfully rescued four individuals and a small dog.

Legislator Todaro said, “Officers William Cookfair, Brendan Tomasulo, Joshua Donovan and Jeffrey Scaglione are heroes in my book. Lives were saved that night with their quick thinking and creativity. Thank you to each and every one of them along with the Department for having well-trained and highly skilled officers—Cheektowaga is a better and safer community because of it. Keep up the fantastic work.”
