Erie County Legislator Frank Todaro recently attended the 2021 Erie County Fire Services Wall of Honor induction ceremony where seven firefighters from District Eight were inducted.

Legislator Todaro presented proclamations to Robert Mueller and Thomas Schlicht from Town Line Fire Department, James Guy from South Line Fire District and posthumously to the families of Eugene Haas and Robert Snyder from the Lancaster Fire Department, Harry J. Hamernik from the West End Hose Company #6 and Richard Kropp from the Central Hose Company #4 and Hook & Ladder Company #1.

The Wall of Honor is located at the Erie County Emergency Services Training and Operations Center in Cheektowaga and exists to serve as a public recognition, honoring members of Erie County’s fire service who have demonstrated—through their dedication, talents and sacrifice—values that promote selfless service.

Legislator Todaro said, “It was an incredible honor to meet the firefighters who were inducted into the Wall of Honor and meet the families of the inductees who are no longer with us here on Earth. Being inducted into the Erie County Fire Services Wall of Honor is a result of decades of selfless service to the community and personal sacrifice. Thank you—Firefighters Mueller, Schlicht, Guy, Haas, Snyder, Hamernik and Kropp—for all you have done for us.”
