The transition team of Erie County Executive-elect Mark Poloncarz is accepting cover letters and resumes from qualified applicants for positions in his administration. If you wish to apply, please submit a cover letter stating your qualifications and the position(s) for which you are interested along with your resume to TransitionJobs@erie.gov or complete the web form.

Background Check Notice to Applicants for Managerial Confidential Positions
Criminal and other background checks may be conducted by the County on applicants for managerial confidential positions in the Poloncarz Administration. These background checks will include criminal, and the status of paid property taxes and liens, among others.
If so directed by the transition team, you will be required to complete the form entitled “Authorization for Release of Personal Information” (attached). If so directed, you must complete and sign the form in the presence of a Notary Public and mail or hand deliver the original signed form, along with a photocopy of your New York State Driver’s License and a photocopy of your Social Security card to the County Personnel Commissioner.
In addition, the transition team may request that applicants submit to the Personnel Commissioner via postal mail or hand delivery a full and complete copy of one of their credit reports from one of the three national credit agencies. The credit report must be dated within the past 30 days. All reports will be held in the strictest confidence.
