The Village Office has extended the dates the office will be closed to the Public until April 30, 2020. We will still staff the office with one person to answer the phones and process the mail. Any messages left for the office will be answered as soon as possible.
Reminder: Utility payments can be placed in the mail, the night deposit box or paid on-line.

The Mayor of the Village of Akron has signed a State of Emergency Declaration effective 9:00 am March 17, 2020 through 9:00 am April 15, 2020. This will give the Mayor the authority to preserve the public safety and render all required and available assistance vital to the security, well-being and health of the citizens of the Village.
Please note that due to the Coronavirus, the Village Hall will be closed to public access beginning today March 17 - March 31, 2020. The office staff will still report to work to answer the phone and process utility payments received from the mail, in the night drop box or on-line. Thank you all for your cooperation during this challenging time.
The Village Office, in an effort to abide by the new regulations in social distancing, is recommending to please consider paying your utility bill by either mailing, dropping in the night deposit or paying on-line. The website to pay on-line is www.erie.gov/akron. Thank you for your cooperation as we travel through this difficult time.

Here's your chance to recycle all those old electronics you replaced over the Holidays. NYS Department of Conservation is hosting an Electronic Recycling Event on Saturday January 25, 2020 from 9:00 am - noon at UB's South Campus - 3435 Main Street, Buffalo, NY 14214. Please enter at the main entrance on Main Street.
With the Holiday celebrations swiftly coming to an end, please remember that the DPW will be picking up discarded Christmas Trees during the month of January 2020.
