Please note that the Village of Akron Wastewater Treatment Plant Upgrade is nearing it's completion. As part of that process the digesters, which is a major part of the treatment process, will have their covers replaced. This involves removal of existing sludge/waste from the digester tanks so they can be cleaned out and prepped for the new digester covers.
