The Town of Clarence Highway Department Road Information:
- Town of Clarence owns 124.75 center-lane miles of Town Roads.
- Erie County owns 88.6 center-lane miles of road in the Town of Clarence. - County Roads
- State of New York owns 17.8 center-lane miles of road in the Town of Clarence.
- Total Roads: 231.15 Center-lane miles of combined roads or 462.30 lane miles.
- The Town Highway Dept. plows and de-ice's 55.33 center-lane or 110.66 lane miles of Erie
    County roads in additon to the Town Roads.
- The Town Highway Dept. picks up leaves and brush on ALL 462.30 lane miles of roads in the Town of Clarence.
- In 2015 the Highway Dept. restored (cleaned) 5.44 miles of field ditches. This entailed a lot of
    clearing work.

April 2014 - Superintendent of Highway, James Dussing and Eagle Scout Emmett Maciuba pictured by one of the Town's Historic signs in Clarence Center. Emmett worked on repainting the sign for an Eagle Scout Project.

June 2014 - Clarence Center Elemtary Students visit the Town Highway Department. Superintendent James Dussing gives them a tour of the garages.

2015-Highway Employees Jeff Loudenslager and Doug Snyder pickup leaves and yart waste to compost. The Grepple was purchased in 2014 with a 50% matching Grant from NYS DEC.

2015 - Highway Employee Jim Englert Jr, Maintenane Worker, loads the Hopper on hte departments new paver.

Ditch Work - Recent Drainage work completed by the Highway Department to improve the flow of water. This ditch takes water from Lapp/Heise area notrh to the "Sate Ditch" and then to Black Creek.

2015 - Highway Department Employees replace a sidewalk that was removed during the large tree removal in Clarence Center.

This is being replaced with new bathroom facilities for the Main Street Town Park.

2015-Highway Department Employee Marshall Helms, HEO, "limbing" a dangerous tree in the right-of-way that was removed by the Clarence Highway Department.

2015 - Highway Department - Preparing the area for the Department's new Salt Storage Structure.

2015 - Highway Deptartment employee Marshal Helms, HEO, is rolling in the binder course for a resurfacing job on Willowlake Drive.

2016 - Highway Employees are moving stockpiled dirt to Memorial Park for a future athletic/recreation field.

2016-Highway loading salt from the new salt barn during the February snow fall.

2016- This is the new salt storage building at the Clarence Highway Department. The building was built by Hybrid building Solutions of Clarence and is 72'x100'. The building will hold in excess of 4000 tons of road salt and replaces the current 1,500 ton wooden structure.
