About Erie County Clerk Michael P. Kearns
Short bio:
Michael P. Kearns, “Mickey” was sworn in as the Erie County Clerk on December 5, 2017. A life-long resident of South Buffalo, Mickey is a graduate of Bishop Timon High School. He earned an Associate’s Degree in Paralegal Studies from Erie Community College and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Canisius College. He has served as an elected official since 2006 as the South District Council Member in the City of Buffalo and in 2012 was elected New York State Assemblyman to represent the 142nd District (then the 145th district). Since being elected as Erie County Clerk in 2017, he has prioritized excellent customer service while efficiently and effectively serving the people of Erie County.
