District Attorney Frank A. Sedita, III announces that 37 year-old Raymond Gonzalez of 497 4^th Street, Buffalo, will be arraigned at 2:00 p.m. before Erie County Court Judge Sheila A. DiTullio on an indictment charging him with Manslaughter in the First Degree. 

It is alleged that on May 2, 2010 at 534 Busti Avenue, Buffalo, Gonzalez engaged in conduct which created a grave risk of serious physical injury to 1 year-old James Velazquez, and thereby caused his death. 

If convicted of this crime, Gonzalez faces a maximum prison sentence of 25 years.   

Like all defendants accused of a crime, the defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
