Blasdell Man Pleads Guilty to Higher Charges Than Initially Filed in Vehicular Manslaughter Case in Town of Brant

Erie County District Attorney Frank A. Sedita, III announced that 19 year old Bradley Maloney of 3689 James Street, Blasdell, pleaded guilty this morning before County Court Judge Michael Pietruszka to Vehicular Manslaughter in the First Degree, Vehicular Assault in the First Degree, Vehicular Assault in the Second Degree and Driving While Intoxicated.   These are higher charges than those initially filed and the highest charges for which Maloney could have been convicted had he gone to trial. 

Maloney admitted that on January 28, 2012 on Versailles Plank and Snow Roads, in Brant, while driving intoxicated, he crashed his vehicle and caused the death of 14 year old Angela Keim of 4525 Mt. Vernon Blvd., Hamburg and caused serious physical injury to 13 year old Elizabeth Szewczyk of 4831 Morgan Parkway, Hamburg and 16 year old Summer Locking of 71 S. Whispering Lane, Hamburg. 

Maloney faces a maximum prison sentence of 5 to 15 years in prison when he is sentenced before the Hon. Michael Pietruszka on August 27, 2012 at 9:30 a.m.
