District Attorney Frank A. Sedita, III announced today that so-called “community activist” Darnell Jackson violated the conditions of his domestic violence sentence and has thus been sent to jail.

On December 10th of last year, Jackson pleaded guilty to Harassment in the 2nd Degree, before Supreme Court Justice Deborah Haendiges, in connection with physically harassing a young woman. Jackson was sentenced to a one year conditional discharge. The conditions of sentence included mental and substance abuse evaluation as well as completion of a domestic violence program. Jackson took no steps to engage in any of the programs required by the Court.  Accordingly, Jackson was found to be in violation of the conditions of his sentence and resentenced to eight (8) days in the Erie County Correctional Facility.
