Buffalo Man Pleads Guilty to Charges Related to Tonawanda Police Search of Motel Room

Erie County District Attorney Frank A. Sedita, III announced that 22 year old Indaleccio Rodriguez-Escalara of 371 14th Street, Buffalo, pleaded guilty, as charged, to Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Fourth Degree and Endangering the Welfare of a Child, before County Court Judge Thomas P. Franczyk.

On October 30, 2012, Town of Tonawanda Police executed a search warrant at the Economy Inn at 40 Grand Island Blvd.  Upon entry, Rodriguez-Escalara jumped out of the bed, ran to the desk and flung heroin about the room, covering the bed and his three minor children.  All three children were treated and released from Children’s hospital.  Town of Tonawanda officers recovered 6.67 grams, over 1/8 ounce, of heroin in the room.

Rodriguez-Escalara faces a maximum sentence of 5-1/2 years in state prison when he is sentenced on January 4, 2013 at 9:30 AM before Judge Franczyk.
